- It has been noted that there is a need to further improve the DECS’ relief and monitoring services at various levels whenever there is a calamity or disaster. In this regard, the officials concerned are directed to formally organize their permanent relief service and disaster monitoring committees.
- Among other things, the committees shall perform the following functions: (a) gather accurate feedback on the damages brought about by natural and man-made disasters/calamities on school plants and facilities; (b) render fast and accurate reports to appropriate offices/agencies regarding the damages to school properties and to recommend actions to be undertaken; and (c) assist government as well as non-government agencies engaged in evacuation and relief services.
- It is desired that committees shall be organized at the district division and regional levels. All feedback reports should be done one day after the occurrence of the disaster/calamity. All reports coming from the lower level should pass through the regional committee for cross-checking. In turn, the regional committee will immediately submit all feedback reports to the Educational Information Division, Technical Service, DECS, Palacio del Gobernador, Intramuros, Manila.
- The immediate dissemination of this Order to all officials concerned is desired.
