Addendum to DECS Order No. 37, s. 1990 (Guidelines on Tuition and Other Fees)

To: Bureau Directors
Regional Directors
Heads of Private Schools, Colleges and Universities

  1. The following shall form part of the Guidelines on Tuition and Other School Fees in Private Schools, Colleges and Universities for School Year 1990-1991 issued through DECS Order No. 37, s. 1990.
    1.1 Schools with at least Level II Accredited Programs charging less than P1,500.00 per year in the case of high schools and eighty pesos (P80.00) per unit in the case of tertiary schools, shall determine their rates for said accredited programs, subject to paragraph 3.2 of DECS Order No. 37, s. 1990.
    1.2 Schools offering graduate programs, masters or doctoral, shall determine their rates of increase in tuition and other charges for said programs without consultation.
  2. This Order takes effect immediately.
