Transfer of Authority to the Bureau of Higher Education to Accredit Units Earned in Foreign Schools

- Through DECS Order No. 62, s. 1988, the accreditation of units earned by students in foreign schools was delegated to school registrars and deans. However, it has been observed that schools have widely differed in their evaluation of units earned in foreign schools.
- Upon the recommendation of the participants of the National Consultative Conference on Higher Education held on September 11-13, 1990 in Cagayan de Oro City, the accreditation of Units earned in foreign schools is hereby transferred to the Bureau of Higher Education, DECS, effective January 1, 1991.
- This Order supersedes DECS Order No. 62, s. 1988.
