- It is a practice and tradition among our schools to give recognition during commencement exercises to pupils and students who have distinguished themselves in academic subjects, in co-curricular activities as well as in extra-curricular programs. For these outstanding achievements and performances, medals of gold, silver or bronze and certificates/plaques of recognition are given. This Office supports such practice and encourages schools to avail of other opportunities for recognition of good deeds among pupils and students. In this manner, we provide the school good role models worthy of emulation by other pupils and students.
- Outstanding pupils and students are those who have been nurtured in a home environment where moral and ethical values are practiced by their elders and where opportunities for learning are well attended to. Parents who are role models to their children reinforce the goals of education in their homes. These parents are likewise outstanding parents and deserve due recognition.
- In recognition of the support given by parents, it is hereby directed that school incentive awards, plaques/ certificates of recognition and other incentives be given to the parents of honor pupils and students. Such awards are to be given during the schools’ commencement exercises this year and every school year thereafter.
- For compliance and immediate and wide dissemination.
