1.    Administrative Order No. 322 dated 20 March 1997, pursuant to Administrative Order No. 263 dated 28 March 1996, authorizes the grant of Centennial Anniversary Bonus to officials and employees of government agencies which are celebrating milestone anniversaries. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports will celebrate its 100^th founding anniversary on 23 June 1998.

2.    His Excellency President Fidel V. Ramos in a marginal note approved a special authority for the payment of the centennial anniversary bonus to teachers and other DECS officials and employees in the amount of One Thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) to be charged from a fund source identified by both the Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports and the Secretary of Budget and Management.

3.   Pursuant thereto, payment of the centennial bonus shall be granted to DECS officials, teachers and employees whether permanent, temporary, casual or contractual, whose employment is in the nature of a regular employee, provided that said employee has rendered at least one (1) year service in DECS as of 23 June 1998.
