1.   Inclosed is a copy of Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 34 dated August 11, 1998, amending Section 8, Rule XVII of the Omnibus Rules Implementing Book V of Executive Order No. 292 (Administrative Code of 1987) relative to tardiness and undertime.
2.   It is reminded that it is the responsibility of the chiefs of offices to ensure compliance with the provisions of said memorandum circular. Likewise, attention is invited to the provisions of DECS Order No. 73, s. 1998 implementing CSC Memorandum Circular No. 23, s. 1998.
3.   Strict compliance with this Order is directed.
