Reiterating the Guidelines on Reducing School Celebrations and Activities
To: Regional Directors
Schools Division/City Superintendents
Heads, Public Elementary and Secondary Schools
- In pursuit of the Department of Education (DepEd) goals to raise the academic standards of basic education, the general policy shall be to lessen non-teaching duties and non-instructional activities of teachers and to maximize time for learning. Efforts should be exerted to meet the required number of school days and instructional time.
- Enclosed are specific guidelines on reducing school celebrations and activities to be observed.
- For proper synchronization of activities at the regional, division and school levels, the Regional Office should initiate the preparation of a master plan for the entire school year activities to be issued to the field for their reference and guidance.
- Strict compliance with this Order is directed.
