Addendum to DepED Order No. 57, s. 2004 (Clarificatory Guidelines on the Unit Credits and the Grade in Makabayan at the Secondary Level)

To: Regional Directors

Heads, Public and Private Secondary Schools

  1. In addition to the Guidelines on the Computation of Grade in Makabayan at the Secondary Level as provided in DepED Order No. 57, s. 2004, all schools are advised to exclude CAT in the computation of the aggregate grade in Makabayan inasmuch as CAT does not carry a numerical rating and is rated on a Pass-Fail basis only. Corollarily, CAT shall likewise not be included in the computation of grades for honor students. However, a “Passed” rating in CAT shall be a requirement for eligibility in the selection of honor students.
  2. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Order is directed.
