1. The Civil Service Commission (CSC) under Resolution No. 040863 dated July 28, 2004, approved the modified Qualification Standards (QS) for Principals and Head Teachers in the elementary and secondary schools. However, during the implementation of DepED Order No. 85, s. 2003, some inconsistencies were identified such as the experience requirements for the positions of Head Teacher II and III in the elementary schools. It was represented that numerous vacancies cannot be filled up due to the experience requirements for said positions.
2. Accordingly, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) through Resolution No. 050277 promulgated on February 28, 2005, authorized the Department to further modify the Qualification Standards for Head Teacher II and III positions in the elementary schools.
3. Enclosed is the modified Qualification Standards for the positions of Head Teacher II and III of this Department. This amends DepED Order No. 48, s. 2004, on the experience requirements for the positions of Head Teacher II and III in the elementary schools.
