Amendment to Section 5 Chapter III of DECS Service Manual
  1. Pursuant to Republic Act No. 7798 entitled “An Act Amending Section 25 of Batas Pambansa Big. 232”, otherwise known as the Education Act of 1982, Section 5, Chapter III of DECS Service Manual 2000 is hereby amended, as follows:
Section 5. Establishing Branch School or Extension Classes within the same Region as the Main Campus of the Private Elementary/ Secondary School
5.1 The establishment of a school branch or extension class shall not require a separate incorporation or entity. The incorporation of the mother school as either stock or non-stock educational corporation shall be sufficient, provided that the school branch or extension class meets all the other requirements, and complies with the rules and prescribed standards of the DepEd before a permit may be issued.
  1. All relevant provisions of existing DepEd Orders, memoranda, and other administrative issuances inconsistent with this Order are hereby modified or amended accordingly.
