MENGUITO: New NCR Regional Director

DepEd NCR family congratulates Dr. Ponciano Andal Menguito as the new Director IV in the Department of Education- National Capital Region. His appointment was signed and published last January 26, 2016. Prior to his appointment, Dr. Menguito was designated by Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro as Officer-In-Charge of the Bureau of Learner Support Services on September 14, 2015 and concurrently functions as one up to
the present. He was the former Assistant Regional Director of DepEdNCR  in 2015.
Sir Pons, as he is fondly called by colleagues and friends, rose from the ranks as high school teacher in Mabini High School in 1971, became a head teacher, Supervisor, then a Superintendent, now   Regional Director . He was a recipient of SEDP Masteral Scholarship Program in University of South Australia in February 1993 and graduated with a degree of Doctor of Education, Major in Educational Administration and Supervision in 2008 from the Philippine Normal University.
In recognition of his significant accomplishments and valuable contributions, he was awarded as Ulirang Ama Award Archdiocese of Lipa, Gawad Tanglaw Karunungan as Outstanding Alumni by the National Teachers Colloge during its 80th Foundation Day on September 29, 2008. In 2016, he recieved the Eminent Alumna Award from the Philippine Normal University, then the 2016 Dakilang Parangal as BEST TE Alumnus/ Alumna of the Year by the National Teachers College.  As a motivational and dynamic leader of DepEdNCR, Sir Pons envisions K+12 to be one of the milestones towards learners’ global competitiveness in the world arena.
