It was mere exposure in some of the hotels and restaurants in the province of Bohol that some SHS teachers in association with the Curriculum Implementation Division of Bohol Division and the Bohol Association of Hotels, Resorts, and Restaurants (BAHRR) are able to develop Senior High School Contextualized Instructional Materials which include the School Operations Manual, Sample Contextualized Instructional Plans and the Industry Linkage Program Immersion Manual.Immersion of the said teachers and a number of exchanged ideas during a summit with the Department of Education – Division of Bohol, provincial government of Bohol, its local government unit in the Municipality of Panglao, BAHRR, the Coalition for Change of the Asia Foundation and the Australian Embassy paved the conception of Turo-Turismo SHS Contextualized Instructional Materials and the construction of a 5-million pesos SHS Tourism Learning Facility at Lourdes National High School, Panglao, Bohol.

On September 27, 2016, these Turo-Turismo Senior High School Contextualized Instructional Materials were finally launched at the Bellevue Resort, Panglao, Bohol. The said launching was participated by Governor Edgardo Chatto of Bohol, Mr. Henry Grageda of the Asia Foundation, Mr. Rommel Gonzalez of BAHRR, Dr. Wilfreda Bongalos of DepEd-Division of Bohol together with the instructional plan writers, editors and SHS Implementers, Dr. Emiliano Elnar, Jr. of DepEd- Region 7, officials of the Coalitions for Change Program in Basic Education, and some hotel representatives.
