DepEd RO-IX has been conferred with the first ever “special award” for coveting the highest increase in percentage for resources generated in the annual conduct of the Best Brigada Eskwela Implementer held at the Luce Auditorium, Silliman University in Dumaguete City last November 29, 2016 according to the Brigada Eskwela Regional Coordinator, Sheila Apiag, currently the Project Development Officer of the region.

The trophy was accepted by OIC-Asst. Reg’l. Director, Pedro Melchor Natividad along with other DepEd RO IX personnel present during the said ceremony.

Other highlights of the event are also the awarding of the different categories for the Best Brigada Eskwela Implementer, namely: Elementary (small school)-Gonusan Central Elem. School, Molave, Zambo. del Sur; Big School- Pagadian City Pilot School, Pagadian City; Exceptional School (Elementary Level)-Ayala Central SPED Center, Ayala, Zambo. City; Secondary Level-Makilas National High School, Ipil, Zambo. Sibugay; Big School-Tambulig National High School, Tambulig, Zambo. del Sur, branded as a Hall of Fame for winning three consecutive years starting in 2014; Exceptional School-Don Pablo Lorenzo National High School, Sta. Maria, Zambo. City.

The awards achieved is a milestone for DepED RO-IX.
