- The Expanded Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education Act as expanded in the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, provides for the Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP). Grounded on the principles of public–private partnership, the SHS VP, which is a mechanism to provide financial support to qualified students, is a demonstration of the Government’s commitment to maintaining the viability of private education, in recognition of the private education sector as a key partner in the delivery of quality basic education.
- In support of this commitment, the Department of Education (DepEd) has issued the enclosed Guidelines on the Implementation of the Senior High School Voucher Program Effective School Year 2017-2018 to ensure effective and efficient program implementation.
- These policies and guidelines shall remain in effect unless otherwise amended or repealed.
- Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Order is desired.
