NTOT on the Enhanced SIP Process participated
The Human Resource Development Division took the lead in the conduct of the Regional Roll out of School Heads’ Development Program (SHDP) in November 8-17 at Chandler Suites for Module I and on November 29-December 6 at Guillermo Hotel, Pagadian City for Module 2 respectively which were participated in by 147 school heads of public secondary schools who will offer SHS this SY 2016-2017.
The said program is designed to capacitate school heads to be more competent, committed and accountable in providing access to quality and relevant education for all through transformational leadership with high degree of professionalism. This is anchored on the seven domains of the National Competency-Based Standards for School Heads (NCBSSH); School Leadership, Instructional Leadership, Creating a Student-Centered Learning Climate, HR Management and Professional Development, Parent Involvement and Community Partnership, School Management and Operation, Personal and Professional Attributes and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
The learning facilitators of this program were the first five of the Region’s Facilitators’ Pool who underwent the selection process. They are Reyna Joyce Barutu-PSDS, Isabela City Division; Florencio Caballero-EPS, Zamboanga del Sur Division; Helen de Leon-EPS, Isabela Division; Sonia Gonzales, EPS, ROIX and Josephine Tomboc-PSDS, Zamboanga del Sur Division. Associate facilitators who are school heads from three performing schools were also recommended by the Schools Division Superintendents, to wit; Dennis Silva, Zamboanga Sibugay Division, Abelardo Brutas, Zamboanga City Division and Fernando Malazarte, Zamboanga del Norte Division.
The presence of NEAP Official, Mr. Charles Cedrick Maghirang assured the participants of the commitment of DepEd in capacitating school heads. Resource speakers were also invited to enhance the presentations of the facilitators namely, Dr. Jeannelyn Aleman-OIC, ASDS from Zamboanga del Sur Division; Ermah Shiela Roble-SEPS, Pagadian City Division; Jerry Bokingkito-Chief, SGOD from Zamboanga Sibugay Division and Richard Talaid, Principal from Iligan City Division who shared his best practices being a pilot implementer of Senior High School in their region.
