PASIG CITY, January 3, 2019 – The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD), shall conduct the 2019 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) with the theme, “Fostering 21st Century Skills and Character-Based Education through Campus Journalism,” from January 28 to February 1 in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
Pursuant to DepEd Memorandum No. 167, s. 2018 dated October 31, 2018, supplemented by DepEd Memorandum No. 197, s. 2018 dated December 27, 2018, DepEd shall allow each public and private school participant included in the official list of delegation to pay a registration fee of Four Thousand Pesos (P4,000) chargeable to the School Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE)/local/regional Funds or the school Campus Journalism Fund. Check payments shall be deposited on or before January 10, 2019 to the Schools Division Office of Pangasinan I account at Landbank Lingayen branch.
Subject to the approval of the 2019 National Budget, the registration fee of all participants shall be reimbursed by region/division to be downloaded by the DepEd Central Office.
A fund transfer in the amount of Two Million One Hundred Thousand Pesos (P2,100,000) is necessary for the host division to cover the costs of trophies, medals, certificates/tokens, supplies and materials, rehabilitation of the billeting quarters, board and lodging, conference materials, rental of equipment/ vehicles, payment of utilities, and other related expenses.

through the NSPC – not just with skills and competencies, but also with the values and experiences they need to help them realize their full potentials.
