PASIG CITY, December 2, 2019 – The Department of Education (DepEd) will launch Sulong EduKalidad at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, DepEd Complex, Pasig City on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.

The move comes after DepEd secured at the 43rd Cabinet Meeting the approval and support of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the Cabinet for the national effort to raise the quality of basic education.

“We are embarking on an aggressive reform effort to address the challenges to quality education and we need the support of everyone for this to take off,” Secretary Briones said.

Education leaders, champions, and advocates from the executive, legislature, and education sectors will be in attendance to express their commitment of support for the campaign.

“The battle for quality education will be fought and won at our classrooms, by our teachers but they will need the support of the nation to successfully educate a child,” said Briones.

During the launch, the Secretary will outline the key reform areas in order to bring forward the quality of basic education.
