August 11, 2021 – After the platform’s official launch in mid-July, Region I (Ilocos Region) recorded the most number of teaching and non-teaching personnel who self-reported using the DepEd Mobile App vaccination tracker, based on the August 9 initial summary report.
Out of 142,463 total self-reports, DepEd – Ilocos Region logged 14,670 teaching and 1,863 non-teaching personnel who reported their vaccination status through the mobile app.
“I am delighted to share that the number of personnel who are participating in this initiative throughout the country is continuously growing. It is important for us to know the number of vaccinated DepEd employees in creating health and safety policies moving forward,” said Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones.
DepEd – Region IV-A (CALABARZON) listed 25,621 teaching and 1,943 non-teaching participants, while DepEd – National Capital Region (NCR) also had 17,817 teaching and 1,139 non-teaching personnel who registered their immunization status.
According to the latest report released by the Office of the Undersecretary for Administration, 129,747 teaching and 12,716 non-teaching personnel already reported their vaccination status.
Furthermore, according to submitted report from the field offices, 171,738 teaching and non-teaching personnel are now fully vaccinated, as of July 19, 2021.
“Vaccinated or not, all DepEd personnel are enjoined to report their vaccination status by downloading the DepEd Mobile App in Google Play or App Store and answering the questions therein,” Undersecretary for Administration and DepEd Task Force COVID-19 (DTFC) Chair Alain Del B. Pascua said.
In an OUA Memorandum, the Department encouraged field offices to promote the use of the DepEd Mobile App to serve as an easier way of reporting the vaccination status of personnel from the education sector.
The said application, which can be downloaded from the App Store (for iOS users) and Google Play Store (for Android users), will be vital in creating policies and addressing existing issues concerning the vaccination program of the national government.
Meanwhile, to validate the data generated through the tracker, field offices are instructed to provide a monthly report to the DTFC on their vaccination data.
