October 28, 2022 – The Department of Education (DepEd) aims to not only bring learners back to school, but also institute measures to maximize learning recovery.
We would like to express our utmost appreciation and gratitude to our Local Government Units (LGUs), partner agencies from the National Government , Non- Government Organizations (NGO), and our stakeholders, for supporting and respecting DepEd’s stand against the unnecessary cancellation of classes and the use of our schools as billeting areas for events that are unrelated to the curriculum.
Your support affords uninterrupted class sessions for our learners, and helps our teachers avoid unnecessary make-up classes, which pose as an additional burden to their teaching load.
Amidst the various challenges, DepEd remains steadfast in its pursuit to provide accessible and quality basic education for all. We, however, cannot do this alone. Therefore, we enjoin everyone to help our leaners recover from learning losses and suspend classes only during public emergencies, severe weather disturbances and calamities.
Thank you.
