12 September 2024 – The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Human Resources and Organizational Development (BHROD), is currently conducting an online survey to assess the preferences of DepEd employees in availing medical services and to gather baseline data on HMO and other health insurance needs.
Pending the utilization guidelines from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the government will begin providing an annual medical allowance of up to Php 7,000 starting in 2025, pursuant to Executive Order No. 64, s. 2024, signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
The medical allowance is available to eligible government civilian personnel, including public school teachers, to help subsidize the cost of health maintenance organization (HMO)-type services. The allowance can be used for various medical services to support public employees in preparing for health-related emergencies.
All permanent/regular/plantilla employees of DepEd, both teaching and non-teaching, from all governance levels, are encouraged to participate in the survey. This includes employees of any rank, gender, age, ethnicity, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Kindly accomplish the survey form via this link: bit.ly/HMOsSurvey or scan the QR code below, on or before September 30, 2024.
Please note that you must sign in using your official DepEd email account to ensure that only DepEd employees can accomplish the form.
Regional and Division IT Officers are directed to assist teachers and non-teaching personnel who may experience difficulty in accessing their official DepEd email accounts.
Thank you for your cooperation.
