17 September 2024, LOOK: The Department of Education (DepEd) met with LinkedIn Corporation on Tuesday to discuss strategies for enhancing the employability of Filipino learners and upskilling teachers.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara engaged with LinkedIn representatives, including Viventis Search Executive Director Yu Ming Chin, Head of APAC Public Policy and International Legal Vice President Dave Woodward, Head of Public Policy for SEA Trisha Suresh, and Philippines Country Manager Bhavana Chauhan. LinkedIn shared insights from their labor and industry research in the Philippines and offered recommendations on how DepEd can leverage their platform to equip learners with job-ready skills and provide teachers with opportunities for upskilling.

Also in attendance were OIC-Undersecretary for Human Resource and Organizational Development Wilfredo Cabral, Assistant Secretary Cilette Co, Atty. Paolo Quilala, and NEAP Director III Leah Apao.
