1.   In line with the celebrations of the Centennial of Philippine Independence, directors/heads of offices of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, are hereby directed to undertake the sprucing — up, repainting, and refurbishing of their schools and offices, including the cleaning — up of their surrounding sites.

2.   In view thereof, budgetary allotments for 1998 for Maintenance and Operating Expenses (MOOEs) and Capital Outlays may be used for this purpose.
