Classification of Higher Education Programs and Code Systems for Special Orders and Certifications

- The inclosed classification of higher education programs offered in Philippine colleges/universities based on the International Standard Classification for Education (ISCED-1983) and the revised code systems for special orders and certifications are hereby issued for purposed of maintaining a uniform of records management system.
- The proper use of the codes shall be discussed during the orientation seminar on delegation of authority per MECS Memorandum No. 49, s. 1985.
- The code systems shall be observed and implemented by the MECS regional offices effective January 2, 1986 for special orders and July 1, 1986 for certifications.
- These program classification and code systems supersede the existing classification and code systems being followed by the Ministry.
