1. Reports have been received that many books which could no longer be used in classrooms or in libraries are still kept in warehouses.
2. Since these materials occupy so much space aside from being fire hazards officials are instructed to dispose of such materials according to the provisions of the Government Auditing Code of the Philippines.
3. Inclosed is a copy of Commission on Audit Circular No. 89-296 relative thereto for information and ready reference.
4. Immediate compliance with this Order is desired.
