Reviving and Reconstituting the Calamity and Disaster Control Group (CDCG)

- The Calamity and Disaster Control Group (CDCG) created in DECS Order No. 61, s. 1990 is hereby revived and reconstituted to insure adequate preparation in coping with various forms of disasters and calamities. The groups which shall be established from existing personnel and resources shall be under the functional direction of the Office of the Secretary thru the Assistant Secretary for Administration, who is hereby assigned as Chief, Calamity Disaster Control Group and Mr. Delfin D. Fernandez as the Deputy. A similar Calamity and Disaster Control Group shall be established in each school and office in the regions as well as in all bureaus and centers in the Central Office and attached agencies with the head of the office/school or his representative as the Disaster Control Officer.
- The organizational structure of CDCG and the functions of the different action units are indicated in Inclosure No. 1 and Inclosure No. 2, respectively. To ensure effective coordina¬tion and implementation, a flow chart is attached as Inclosure No. 3.
- A list of all designated calamity and disaster control officers and their staff shall be submitted to the Office of Assistant Secretary Reno A. Capinpin not later than September 30, 1995.
