21 September 2024, LOOK: Headed by Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sonny Angara as the Chairperson, the National Academy of Sports (NAS) Board of Trustees convened for its 24th meeting recently at the DepEd Central Office, Pasig City.

Key topics tackled were the admission of new NAS applicants, partnerships with private companies, filling up board vacancy, and addressing issues related to hiring sports coaches.

The meeting was attended by Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Commissioner Walter Francis Torres, representing PSC Chairperson Richard Bachman, Philippine Olympic Committee President Abraham Tolentino, Private Sector Representative John Patrick Gregorio, NAS Executive Director Prof. Josephine Joy Reyes, and Private Sector Representative Cynthia Tiu.
