Program Title: Higher Order Thinking Skills Professional Learning Packages for Mathematics, Science, and English Teachers
Target Participants: Grades 9-10 Teachers handling English, Mathematics, and Science subjects
Target Professional Standards: PPST 1.5.2, 1.5.3; PPSSH 3.2.2; PPSS 3.1.2
Active Learning Hours: 21 hours and 30 minutes
At the end of the PD program, teachers will be able to:

describe the contents of the HOTS-PLPs

explain the SOLO Framework and relate it to Bloom’s Taxonomy

explain how the SOLO Framework is applied in teaching strategies/activities under the identified learning approaches

apply the SOLO Framework in categorizing learner responses and formulating assessment items promoting higher-order thinking
-
identify facilitating and hindering factors in applying the SOLO Framework and using the HOTS-PLP

draft a workplace application plan
