Target Participants: Key Stage 1 Teachers (Kindergarten to Grade 3)

Under Career Stages 2 and 3 of PPST (Proficient and Highly Proficient Teachers)
Must have teaching loads in Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2 or 3

Target Professional Standards: PPST 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.4.2, 1.4.3, 1.5.2, 1.5.3, 2.3.2, 2.3.3, 4.2.2, 4.2.3, 5.1.2, 5.1.3

Active Learning Hours: 40 hours

By the end of the PD program, the participants will be able to:

Proficient Teachers:

develop lesson exemplars and activity sheets incorporating varied teaching and assessment strategies and activities that promote literacy and numeracy.

Highly Proficient Teachers

model varied teaching and assessment strategies and activities that promote literacy and numeracy through simulation
evaluate lesson plans and activity sheets focused on the application of strategies and activities used in developing literacy and numeracy
