Program Title: Rethinking Education: Building Teachers Capacity for Resilient Batang Malaybalay Module 1: Decision Models and Approaches in Reading
Target Participants: Career Stage 2 or Proficient Teachers (Teachers I-III); Key Stage 1 Teachers – Grade 1-3
Target Professional Standards: PPST 1.1.2, 1.4.2, 1.5.2, 3.1.2, 4.1.2, 4.2.2, 7.3.2
Active Learning Hours: 19 hours and 30 minutes
By the end of the PD program, teachers shall be able to develop a workplace application plan grounded on the different decision models and teaching reading approaches.
Specifically, it aims to:

identify the different decision models in improving the school-based early literacy/reading program;

demonstrate how to use the different decision models in improving school-based early literacy/reading program;

identify the different reading approaches to improve the processes in teaching reading of the key stage 1 learners;
-
simulate the processes in delivering the reading approaches to improve the literacy skills of the key stage 1 learners;
-
analyze teaching reading approaches vis-à-vis the MATATAG learning competencies to organize the components of the teaching-learning processes;
