Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn M. Sevilla plays a critical role in guiding the Department of Education’s financial strategy and resource management, directly advising and assisting the Secretary of Education in the formulation, implementation, and oversight of DepEd’s financial policies. She oversees the Budget and Accounting divisions and leads the operationalization of the Education Programs Management Office (EPMO) and the Government Assistance and Subsidies Service (GASS).

Usec. Sevilla represents DepEd in several significant bodies, including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ Financial Inclusion Steering Committee, the Global Partnership for Education, and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Center for Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for Sustainability in Thailand. She also holds roles as a Board Member of the Palarong Pambansa, Chairperson of the Provident Fund National Board of Trustees, and sits on the Board of the United Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST).

Her academic achievements include a master’s degree in public administration from the University of the Philippines and a bachelor’s degree in financial management, cum laude, from St. Scholastica’s College. Additionally, she completed an Executive Education Program in Public Financial Management at Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

With extensive experience in public financial management, governance, and chance management, Usec. Sevilla brings a strong background to her role, having previously served for ten years as a Senior Budget and Management Specialist at the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). Her dedication to public service has been recognized with the Gawad Dr. Pio Valenzuela Award for her contributions to government service.
