Guidelines in the Utilization of the Five Hundred Thousand (PhP500,000.00) Allocation to the Secondary Schools Offering Any of the Following Special Programs: Arts (SPA), Sports (SPS), Special Education (SPED)

- To assist the secondary schools implementing the Special Programs (Arts, Sports and Special Education) in the effective delivery of service to the talented/special students, the Department of Education (DepEd) shall provide a Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP500,000.00) subsidy to the seventeen (17) schools of the SPA and SPS, and the one hundred three (103) SPED schools (please see enclosed lists).
- The amount shall be specifically used for the following:
25% (PhP125,000.00) Training of teachers and administrators in the school’s area of specialization: arts, sports, SPED
35% (PhP175,000.00) Procurement of sports equipment/musical instruments/assistive devices
20% (PhP100,000.00) Procurement of instructional materials and supplies (i.e. costumes, athletic uniforms, etc.)
20% (PhP100,000.00) Student development activities such as training, workshop, participation in DepEd- approved competitions in arts/sports including travel allowance of students during training / competition. - The amount of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP500,000.00) shall be provided to the recipient schools in addition to their regular Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE).
- Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Order is directed.
