Strict Compliance of Republic Act No. 9184 in the Procurement of Tools and Equipment for the 282 Technical-Vocational Public High Schools Nationwide

- Pursuant to DepED Order No. 73, s. 2009 entitled “Prescribing the Minimum Standards for Tools and Equipment for Technical-Vocational Public High Schools Nationwide”, DepED Order No. 95, s. 2009 entitled “Guidelines on the Utilization of Strengthened Technical-Vocational Education Program (STVEP) Intervention Funds for 2008” and the Approved Authority signed by the Secretary dated September 9, 2009 to download the Tech-Voc Intervention Funds for Tools and Equipment, schools concerned (282 tech-voc public high schools) may now start procuring based on the four (4) priority areas of specialization and technical drawing being offered.
- The Regional and Division Offices must ensure strict compliance in the procurement of tools and equipment in accordance with the Revised Guidelines of Republic Act No. 9184. The revised bidding documents can be downloaded from the website of the Government Policy Procurement Board (GPPB). The bidding process can be conducted in tech-voc high schools with the existing Bids and Award Committee (BAC) who underwent training and orientation on RA No. 9184, otherwise, the Division Offices’ BAC will conduct the bidding for schools without BAC.
- Regional/Division offices are directed to conduct orientation to the BAC and its Secretariat on the Revised Guidelines of RA No. 9184 to ensure strict compliance with the Procurement Law.
- Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Order is directed.
