1. As part of the global effort to promote Education for All (EFA), UNESCO is launching each year an EFA Week to recall the education-for-all goals, to take stock of the advances being made and education challenges being brought to the fore.
2. In support of this effort, we join the nations of the world in celebrating the EFA Week which takes place this year on April 22-26, 2002. The theme of this year’s EFA Week shall be “EVERY CHILD A LEARNER.”
3. The focus of our EFA Week celebration this year will be on activities which support the successful implementation of the new Basic Education Curriculum (BEC).
4. All DepEd units are encouraged to carry on the vision of EFA – that all children must be ready for school and for life, and that the right of every child to basic education is fulfilled.
5. Wide dissemination of this Order is desired.
