1. The appropriations for the CY 2003 Desk/Armchairs Project has been set at P450 Million. Enclosed are the Guidelines for the preparation of the priority list of recipient schools to be provided with classroom furniture to be funded under the CY 2003 General Appropriations Act and the allocation per legislative district.
2. In the preparation of the list of recipient schools, please be guided by the budgetary ceiling for each congressional district and the unit cost for desk and armchairs. The Division Office should also consider the results of the Basic Education Information System Quick Count for SY 2002-2003 which provides data on school furniture needs at the school level. A color spectrum has been devised to determine which schools are in greatest need of classroom seats.
3. The priority listings in both hard and soft copies shall be submitted not later than Aug. 15, 2003 to:The Officer-In-Charge
