Extending the Enrollment Period in Public Elementary and Secondary Schools Until June 29, 2010
  1. Pursuant to the Constitutional right of all Filipino citizens to quality education and this Departments’ Constitutional mandate to make education accessible to all in consonance with the Education for All (EFA) Plan 2015 and with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on achieving universal primary education, the period of enrollment in public elementary and secondary schools is hereby extended until June 29, 2010. Thus, all public elementary and secondary school heads are directed to accept enrollees until the said date.
  2. Through this DepEd Order, the acceptance of said enrollees shall be without prejudice to the implementation of the applicable DepEd rules and regulations on the documentary requirements for enrollment, maximum allowable absences and make-up classes, among others.
  3. Any existing department orders, circulars, memoranda, or any part thereof which are contrary to or inconsistent with any provisions of this Order shall be deemed repealed or modified accordingly.
  4. Any violation of this Order by any school official/employee shall be strictly dealt with administratively.
  5. Immediate dissemination of and compliance with this Order is directed.
