8th ASEAN Quiz

The 8th ASEAN Quiz National Level Competition, Philippines  will be conducted by the People’s Television Network, in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Foreign Affairs  (DFA), the Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO), the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), and the Philippine Broadcasting Service (PBS) from April 3 to 6, 2018 at the PTV Broadcast Center, Visayas Avenue, Quezon City.

The ASEAN Quiz is a continuing project of the ASEAN Committee on Cuiture and Information (COCI) that aims to foster the spirit of healthy competrtion zrmong ASEAN youth in a friendly quiz game that exposes them to ASEAN cultural, political, economic and social information.

The Regional Level of the ASEAN Quiz participated in by the I0 ASEAN member couniries (previously held in Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Malavsia, Brunei Darussalam, fn”itrrra, and Lao PDR) shall be preceded by the National Level Competition.

The National Level Competition sha-ll be participated in by the regional winners from 17 DepEd regions.

The top three winners in the National Level Competitron sha-ll be the Philippine representatives to the Bth ASEAN Quiz Regrona-1 Competititon to be hosted by Indonesia in August 2018.

In connection with the National Level Competition, the DepEd regional and schools division oflices are encouraged to conduct the search for one student rvho shall represent the region and compete in the National Level Competition betr’veen February and March 2018.
