Students to unveil artistry in DepEd Regional Festival of Talents
City of San Fernando, Pampanga—An exciting array of talents and skills of elementary and secondary students will be showcased as the Department of Education Region III holds the Regional Festival of Talents on January 19-21 at the DepED Regional Office, Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
With the theme “Unveiling Sportmanship and Artistry; Performances Beyond Par in the K to 12 Program”, the three-day event aims to enable learners demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the concepts and skills learned, enhance competence, and foster camaraderie through healthy and friendly competitions. The students’ learnings and talents through different product and performance exhibits will be exhibited in the various contests which include the Technolympics, Tagisan ng Talino, Special Program for the Arts, Special Program in Foreign Language and Sining Tanghalan Competitions.
One of significant highlights in this year’s RFOT is the launch of the Region III Senior High School Village to effectively disseminate information regarding SHS program Specifically, the SHS Village aims to put in one place all initiatives, activities and programs conducted by all the Schools Division Offices (SDOs) in relation to Senior High School Program, facilitate information dissemination to stakeholders who come in Region 3, and showcase the readiness of all SDOs in the final implementation of the Senior High School Program.
Each SHS booth shall display the individual school portfolio of SHS implementing schools (both public and private schools) which include the Senior High Implementation Plan, SHS program offerings-Tracks and Strands, Vicinity Map, Site Development Plan, Site Ownership (Deed of Donation, Usufruct, TCT), List of Teachers and Personnel, List of Facilities (Classrooms and Laboratories), List of Equipment, Proposed Curriculum (By Track and Strands), Enrolment Data (SY 2015-2016), Student Survey on SHS Tracks, Identified Partner-Industries/Companies, Memorandum of Agreement / Memorandum of Understanding, School SHS Task Force, Career Guidance Activities, SHS Permit (for private schools), Proposed Tuition fee (for private school); Information and Advocacy Materials that document activities with stakeholders such as conferences and meetings parents, teachers, private schools, school heads, and linkages with local government officials, NGOs, and private institutions.
The twenty participating schools divisions are Angeles City, Aurora, Bataan, Balanga City, Bulacan, Cabanatuan City, Gapan, Mabalacat City, Malolos City, Meycauyan City, Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Olongapo City, Pampanga, City of San Fernando, San Jose City, San Jose del Monte, Tarlac Province, Tarlac City, and Zambales.•
