RO3 Athletes Prepare for 2015 Palarong Pambansa
City of San Fernando, Pampanga—After the successful conduct of the Central Luzon Regional Athletics Association Meet held on December 7-12, 2014 at the Iba Sports Complex, the Central Luzon delegation gears up for the 2015 Palarong Pambansa which will be held on May 3-9 in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
The Region 3 Official Delegation composed of 667 members which include athletes, coaches and assistant coaches, trainers, and chaperons, are set to join in the centralized training at the Iba Sports Complex on April 7-26.
Athletes have opted to train in other venues such as Nueva Ecija, Aurora, Pampanga, Bulacan, Malolos City, Tarlac City, Angeles City, and City of San Fernando where state-of-the-art sports facilities can be utilized.
For the 20th time, the Schools Division of Bulacan snatched the over-all championship with a total of 81 gold medals, 60 silver medals, and 56 bronze medals. The Schools Divisions of Bataan and Olongapo City came in at second and third places respectively.
Bryan Jay Pacheco of Aurora beat his own records with a 32.20M record at the discuss throw event and a 58.27M record at the javeline throw event. On the other hand, James Darrel Orduña came up with a 4:19.65 finish at the 1500M athletics event.
The 2015 CLRAA Meet will be held in the province of Bulacan after Gov. Wilhelmino Alvarado formally tendered his proposal to host the annual athletics event to showcase the hospitality of Bulakenyos.
