Ivie B. Francisco, from Zamboanga City Division was adjudged winner in the recently concluded Regional Oratorical Contest on Adoption Consciousness held at the DepEd RNEAP, Airport Road, Tiguma, Pagadian City last July 19, 2016.

This activity is in pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 72 stating that the first Saturday of February every year is “Adoption Consciousness Day”. DepEd is one of the agencies who agreed to support activities during the observance of this event.

The nationwide Oratorical Contest is open to Grades VII to IX students with this year’s theme, “Legal na ampon ako, anak na totoo” (A child finds worth in Legal Adoption).

Other winners of the said contest are: Sheree Margarette Crisostomo from Dipolog City Division, Second Place; Marialie D. Superable from Zamboanga del Sur Division, Third Place; and Elezalde E. Canaba, Jr. from Pagadian City Division, Fourth Place.

Francisco is set to compete in the National Oratorical Contest on July 28, 2016 at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, DepEd Central Office, Pasig City.
