T rue to its commitment in the career progression of the teachers and school heads as the front liners in the delivery of basic quality education, the Department of Education, Regional Office IX thru the Personnel Section, Administrative Division intensified its effort in processing of the Equivalent Records Form (ERF) of the teachers in upgrading their present position from Teacher I to Teacher II or Teacher III as the case maybe.

Based on the data emanating from the Personnel Section with Mrs. Pilar G. Layon as the Administrative Officer V (Personnel) and Mrs. Jessica Antoniette R. Yap as the Teacher Credentials Evaluator II, the processed ERFs from January to December 14, 2016 per Schools Division are as follows: Dapitan City – 16; Dipolog City – 10; Isabela City – 18; Pagadian City – 49; Zamboanga City – 10; Zamboanga del Norte – 99; Zamboanga del Sur- 170 and Zamboanga Sibugay – 177.

Moreover, DepEd, Region IX has submitted to the Department of Budget and Management, Regional Office IX, Zamboanga City the Plantilla Allocation List (PAL) for the Approved ERFs last year.

The reclassification of School Principal Positions and Conversion of Teaching Positions to Master Teacher Positions, to wit: Dapitan City – Teacher II – 1, Teacher III – 27; Dipolog City – Teacher II – 6, Teacher III – 36; Isabela City – Teacher II – 9, Teacher III – 35, Master Teacher I – 1; Pagadian City – Teacher II – 3, Teacher III – 47, Head Teacher I – 3, School Principal II – 2, School Principal III – 1, Master Teacher I – 3 and Master Teacher II – 1; Zamboanga City – Teacher II – 53, Teacher III – 73; Zamboanga del Norte – Teacher II – 45, Teacher III – 200, School Librarian III – 1, Head Teacher I – 25, Head Teacher III – 1, Head Teacher IV – 3, Head Teacher V – 1, School Principal III – 2, Master Teacher I – 19 and Master Teacher II – 2; Zamboanga del Sur – Teacher II – 8, Teacher III – 42, Head Teacher I -1, Head Teacher IV – 1, School Principal II – 9, School Principal III – 2, Master Teacher I – 1; Zamboanga Sibugay – Teacher II – 106, Teacher III – 408, Head Teacher I – 1, School Principal III – 4, Master Teacher I – 3 and Master Teacher II – 4.

It can be noted that all approved ERFs for the current year will be implementable on the following year.

The deadline set by the DBM is on the 15th day of November, 2016 and the lump sum appropriation for ERFs, Reclassification of School Principal Positions and Conversion of Teaching Positions to Master Teacher Positions is more or less P32 Million.
