Aiza Seguerra to grace National Festival of Talents in ZaNorte
Simultaneous with the celebration of the National School Press Conference in Pagadian City, is also the conduct of The National Festival of Talents (NFOT) dubbed “Celebrating Humanity and Cultural Diversity” which the newly appointed Chairperson of the National Youth Commission, USEC Cariza “Aiza” Y. Seguerra is the keynote speaker on January 23 to 26 in Dipolog City.
In a statement at Inquirer.Net dated August 12, 2016 Seguerra will be serving for three years under the office of the President.
As part of her advocacy, the singer-songwriter will use arts and culture in terms of reigniting nationalism to the Filipino Youth.
One of her campaigns is to address the issues on illegal drugs, teenage pregnancy and the spread of HIV/AIDS among students.
On the other hand, NFOT is an annual activity that will also give students the opportunity to showcase their aptitudes in the fields of Technical-Vocation and the Arts.
It also aims to provide learners with the chance to display their talents through exhibitions of their products and performances as evidence of learning in their respective fields of interest.
Moreover, NFOT consists of the following skills exhibitions-Technolympics (Technology and Livelihood Education and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood); Sining Tanghalan (Arts); National Population Quiz and On-the-Spot Skills Exhibition on PopDev (Araling Panlipunan); Pambansang Tagisan ng Talino (Filipino); and Foreign Language Skills Showcase (Special Program in Foreign Language).
DepEd RO-IX, Zamboanga Peninsula is this year’s host for the said occasion.
