Addendum to Deped Order No. 12, s. 2012 (Revised Guidelines on the Hiring of Teacher I Positions Based on the Reform Actions in the Basic Education Sector Reform Agenda)

- In the statement under Item 5.3.2 (Teaching Experience) of the Enclosure to DepEd Order No. 12, s. 2012 entitled “Revised Guidelines on the Hiring of Teacher I Positions Based on the Reform Actions in the Basic Education Sector Reform Agenda (BESRA)”, Alternative Learning System (ALS) is hereby added to the sentence which reads as follows:“5.3.2 TEACHING EXPERIENCE – 10 pointsTeaching experience in pre-school, SPED, Alternative Learning System (ALS), elementary and secondary in public and private schools shall be given one (1) point for every school year but not to exceed 10 points.”
- This addendum is effected to recognize the innovative and experiential strategies which the Instructional Managers and Literacy Facilitators of ALS apply to facilitate teaching and learning among out-of-school children, youth and adults in achieving the EFA goals.
- Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Order is directed.
