PASIG CITY, June 11, 2019 – The fourth and final tranche of the Salary Standardization Law (SSL) following Executive Order (EO) No. 201, s. 2016 also delivered an increase in salary of administrative positions in the Department of Education (DepEd) in 2019.
A Head Teacher I now receives a basic monthly salary of P27,755 under Salary Grade (SG) 14, while a Head Teacher VI receives P45,269.00 under SG 19.
School Principal I is likewise compensated under SG 19, while a School Principal IV receives P65,319.00 under SG 22.
Assistant School Principals I, II, and III receive a basic monthly salary of P40,637 under SG 18, P45,269 under SG 19, and P51,155 under SG 20, respectively.
Similar with teaching positions, they are all entitled to step increment—the increase in salary from step to step within an SG of a position granted based on length of service.
A Head Teacher I, for instance, may receive up to P30,253 upon reaching step 8 of the increment, while a School Principal IV may receive up to P73,157.
