  1. Memorandum Circular No. 65 dated June 14, 1988 of the Office of the President limiting the extension of service of officials and employees who have reached the compulsory retirement age of 65 years to six (6) months only in extremely meritorious cases is reproduced on the reverse side for the information and guidance of the field.
  2. In this connection, attention is invited to MECS Orders Nos. 2 and 7, series of 1985 and 1987, respectively, on the policy of this Office against the extension of service of officials beyond the mandatory retirement age.
