1. Pursuant to Section 6, Rule 133 of the Revised Rules of Court and DECS Order No. 46, s. 1987 – Amendments to DECS Order No. 33, s. 1967 (Spanish as Optional Subject) – effective school year 1990-1991, any holder of a four-year Bachelor of Science or Arts degree may be admitted to the regular law course provided he has earned at least 12 units in English, 6 units in Mathematics, and 18 units in Social Science (History, Political Science, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, etc.).
2. Any holder of a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree with deficiencies or at most 9 units in the aforementioned subjects may likewise be admitted provided he has the basic baccalaureate degree; provided further that the 9 units of deficiencies shall be taken during the first curricular year.
3. In order to avoid the admission of unqualified students, all enrollees should be required to present the Certificate of Eligibility for Admission into the Law Course (Form CEL) before the end of the enrolment period.
4. This Order supersedes BPrS No. 1, s. 1961 and other Department issuances regarding admission to the law course.
