ASEC. AURELIO PAULO BARTOLOME

Asec.  Aurelio Paulo “AP” Bartolome is a seasoned educator, local legislator and finance executive having led the Taguig City University, a university owned by the City of Taguig Local Government Unit with 7 colleges and over 13,000 students as Co-Chairman, President and Dean of the Graduate School from 2013 to 2024.  He led the university’s quality transformation and eventual accreditation with the Commission on Higher Education. 

He was the #1 City Councilor at the City of Taguig for 3 terms from 2004 to 2013 and served as Chairman of the Committees on Education, Appropriations and Trade and Industry.  He was the principal author of the following local legislation on the creation of the Taguig City University, the Taguig Science High School, the Special Education Center, the Revised Taguig Revenue Code of 2005, and the Creation of the Public Employment Services Office among others. 

In 2010 he was awarded one of the Ten Outstanding Councilors of the Philippines Award, a national search by the Philippine Councilors League, Philippine Jaycees, the Development Academy of the Philippines and the Office of Senator Edgardo J. Angara.  In the field of finance, AP led a Enterprise Capital Bank a rural bank, and spent many years in Private Equity, Real Estate and Corporate Finance.  He was a Professor of Finance at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

AP attended the Ateneo High School, obtained his BSBA (cum laude) from Georgetown University in Washington DC, his MSc from the University of London and his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston Il.
