Jake’s international development practice spans government affairs, policy reforms, social impact at scale, and multilateral project management.

He was called to Philippine civil service by Senator and now Education Secretary Sonny Angara. As Head of the Public Affairs Service, he leads DepEd’s communications, public information, and media production divisions.

He has received distinctions for his policy and literary work, including the ADB-Japan Scholarship, the Carlos Palanca Award, and the National Writing Fellowship in Dumaguete.

He is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas Junior High School (top 5%), the University of the Philippines Diliman (BA Broadcast Communication, cum laude), and the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Tokyo (Master of Public Policy).
