ENGR. SUSANA S. SANTIAGO

Engr. Susana S. Santiago has dedicated over 34 years to public service.
A licensed civil engineer, she currently serves as the Director IV of the Project Management Service (PMS) at the Department of Education (DepEd). In this role, she oversees the management and coordination of DepEd’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) portfolio. Under her leadership, PMS continues to provide support to various offices within the Department, ensuring the effective implementation and development of ongoing and pipeline ODA programs and projects.
As Director of PMS, she has spearheaded several milestone activities, including the conduct of DepEd Partners Convergence, the submission of the first DepEd ODA Portfolio, and the development of the DepEd ODA Dashboard, which enhances transparency and collaboration in basic education-related development efforts.
Before joining DepEd as Director IV, Director Santiago built an extensive career in public service. She began her government career with the Department of Agrarian Reform in 1991, worked with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) for nearly 26 years, and joined DepEd in February 2023.
Director Santiago holds a degree in Civil Engineering, a Master in Development Management, a Master of Science in Water Resources and a Master in Public Administration. These have been fundamental to her expertise in sectoral planning, strategic management, project development and management including monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and inter-agency and development partners’ coordination. She continues to drive impactful initiatives that contribute to the advancement of the education sector.
